SageCourt diary & alerts

Privacy & consent

What we collect: your mobile number (to sign you in and send alerts), your name, the names you appear under in cause lists, optional e-mail address, optional case numbers, your bench choice and notification preferences.

Why: only to find your listings in the High Court of Karnataka's published cause lists and to notify you. We do not sell data, advertise, or contact anyone you did not ask us to.

How it is protected: encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest; phone and e-mail are additionally field-encrypted; access is logged. Court cause lists are public records; your profile is private and visible only to you and chamber members you add.

AI: matching and alerts are deterministic and never use AI. The optional Ask assistant only runs when you type a question: your question, the names on your profile and the relevant listings and public cause-list rows are then sent to Anthropic's Claude API to write the answer. Your phone number and e-mail are never sent. Under Anthropic's commercial API terms this data is not used to train models. Conversations are stored in your account until you delete them.

Drafting: papers you upload to a draft are stored encrypted in Sage and, with your instructions, are sent to Anthropic's Claude API only when you ask for a draft or a change. They are not used to train models, are never used for cause-list matching or alerts, and are deleted with the draft.

Voice: when your Sage has GPT-Live voice switched on, Talk to Sage streams your voice to OpenAI's GPT-Live, which understands it and reads out Sage's answer. Sessions are not stored by OpenAI. OpenAI receives your spoken question and the short answer Sage gives (which can include case numbers, parties and dates), but not your stored records, phone number or e-mail. Under OpenAI's API terms this data is not used to train models. Without GPT-Live, your browser's own speech service is used instead.

WhatsApp consent text: “I agree to receive Karnataka High Court cause-list alerts (my listings, changes to them, and service notices) from Sage on WhatsApp at this number. I can stop at any time by replying STOP or in Settings.”

Your rights: you can download your data or delete your account at any time from Settings, withdraw WhatsApp consent by replying STOP, and raise a grievance with us; we respond within the timelines of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

This service is independent of the High Court of Karnataka and NIC. Alerts are a convenience; the official cause list prevails.
